The Girls’ Brigade is a Christian youth organisation for girls of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. A varied programme of fun activities is offered, designed to educate, challenge and inspire young girls in a safe environment of Christian teaching.

Our programme is split into 4 main areas:

  • Spiritual
  • Physical
  • Educational
  • Service

Girls’ Brigade is an international, interdenominational organisation.

The aim of the Girls’ Brigade is:

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility, to find true enrichment of life.

Our Motto is “To Seek, Serve, and Follow Christ”

About Us

Our Company membership includes voluntary leaders, selected by the Church, and girls of all ages, from 3 – 18 years old.

In total we have 118 girls on our roll, with 9 Officers, 2 Sub Officers & 4 helpers

All girls are welcome to join. Here is a sample of things we do during a GB year:

  • Sport
  • Modern Dance
  • Drama
  • Craft
  • Outings
  • Outdoor pursuits
  • Awards – Brigader Brooch, Queen’s Award, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award…
  • Time to chill out with friends and learn new skills

Our session runs from September to April and we meet each Wednesday evening at the following times:-

Girls under 8 years 6.00 – 7.15 pm
The Junior Section (9 – 10 years) from 7.00 – 8.30pm
Girls 11 years and over 7.00 – 9.15 pm
